Junior Audio Designer

JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for audio designer(s) to join our team here in RaceWard: they should help the audio team to create immersive soundscapes and effects for our future projects.
Both artistic and technical skills are required since the audio designers will be in charge of a series of activities that include (but are not limited to) sfx production and recording, implementation through sound middleware and simple audio systems design. The candidate might work across different projects efficiently while keeping consistent high standards of work.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with project leads to help saping the artistic vision of the project
  • Work closely with the rest of the team to properly design the game soundscapes, identifying and solving possible audio issues in the process
  • Create high quality sound effects by synthesis or recording/editing
  • Implement audio assets in the game using middleware or game world editors
  • Support during audio tasks such as recording sessions and audio testing;
  • Work closely with the rest of the audio team to help improving the audio pipeline
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in audio-related subject such as audio production, audio engineering or similar
  • Solid knowledge of the principles of audio production and development for media
  • Proficient in the use of DAWs and common audio plugins
  • At least 1 year of experience in audio production (also for personal projects to evaluate).

  • Artistic talent and taste
  • Strong passion for making, playing and listening to games
  • Likes to work in a team, follows lead indications but is proactive when needed
  • Good English knowledge (especially written)
NICE TO HAVE
  • Knowledge of Fmod Studio
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine
  • Knowledge of Reaper, Native Instruments, Izotope and Fabfilter most common audio suites
  • Music production experience
  • Love for racing world/games
  • Scripting or simple coding
  • VR development or Studio Mixing experience
